Spall mitigation options available:

Spall Pad Covers consist of Ballistic Kevlar and 500D Cordura that slips over the armor plate. These are meant to add spall protection to our base coat option only.

Spall Build-up Coat consists of about 1/4" of Line-X Paxcon material on the front of the armor plate. Approximate thickness is 1/2" with the build up coat applied.

Really nice plates

Opted to try these Ergolite since I'm an "older guy" and wanted to keep the weight down. Love the cut on these. Plates are out of the way when shouldering the rifle. The triple curve makes them form to my body really nice. The lighter weight is nice too. Probably going to get another set for the wife. Recommending them to my daughter as well.
