Special Threat tested to defeat XM193 (5.56 x 45) 55 grain @ 3150 FPS

Each plate weighs approximately 5.8 lbs

Curved to accommodate natural angle of body.

Fully encapsulated to protect against corrosion, chemicals and sweat.

Spall mitigation options available:

Spall Pad Covers consist of Ballistic Kevlar and 500D Cordura that slips over the armor plate. These are meant to add spall protection to our base coat option only.

Spall Build-up Coat consists of about 1/4" of Line-X Paxcon material on the front of the armor plate. Approximate thickness is 1/2" with the build up coat applied.

Laser cut to ensure armor longevity and edge durability.

A good find

Very impressed with workmanship of the plate. With the coating, it looked great. I got this plate because of the stopping power it was rated for stopping most calibers and the weight was acceptable. Oh, and the price was good for this level of protection. I’m planning to put together another chest plate system and this will be my first stop.
