NIJ Standard-0101.06 Level III Compliant body armor
Each plate weighs approximately 8.4 lbs
Approximately .28 thick
Curved to accommodate natural angle of body.
Fully encapsulated to protect against corrosion, chemicals and sweat.
Spall mitigation options available:
     Spall Pad Covers consist of Ballistic Kevlar and 500D Cordura that slips over the armor plate. These are meant to add spall protection to our base coat option only.
     Spall Build-up Coat consists of about 1/4" of Line-X Paxcon material on the front of the armor plate. Approximate thickness is 1/2" with the build up coat applied.

Laser cut to ensure armor longevity and edge durability. 
Rated for up to 6 hits from 7.62 x 51 (.308) @ 2780 fps.

Amazing craftsmanship
Just received the body armor plates yesterday, fast delivery, no complains there. The build quality, just wow. You can tell this company cares about each product they make. And better price and faster delivery then the “other” company. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for targets or armor plates.

Best bang for your buck!
Solid armor for the price! Arrived promptly and well packaged. The only downside to this armor is that it may be a little heavy for some people, especially if you have a full rig with mags and gear. Hitting the weights can certainly fix that issue but keep mind, that if you intend to buy/lend armor for loved ones as well, these may be too heavy for them. Otherwise, solid purchase! 10/10.

Exactly what it says it is
No BS, no sketchy crap from China. They are inexpensive. They aren't the elite super light top of the line plates, but you aren't paying those prices either. This is an affordable way to get your self protected. I will be buying more

Refreshingly Honest Marketing
If you're shopping for body armor in 2020, then you probably know how other companies have ridiculous lead times and still can't meet them. After waiting for over 4 months for my order from another company (yes, even beyond their stated lead times), I decided to cancel that order and try Down Range Industries because I had heard great things. I ordered my plates and trauma pads on a Sunday and was wearing them that Thursday. They beat their lead times! Not only that, the plates look and feel great. I'm impressed with the quality. Great Plates by an even better Company
Great plates, I own plates by other competitors, (also well made) but the difference isn’t in just the cost, it’s in the company. Very rarely do you get a quality product, that in my opinion is better, from a company with a superb staff and outstanding customer service. This company will hopefully keep the market on the heels and they have a customer for life right here. Thank you, Down Range Industries!

Great deal and great quality
These plates came in very quickly! Great quality! Plates fit great. I added the side plates, they fit my carrier vest snug. Would only use those if it was required, but they are otherwise still great quality, a great deal, and worth having around.

Awesome company
I ordered 2 10x12, and 2 6x8 curved plates on a late Thursday night, and was opening the package the following Tuesday. This Company walked the walk for sure. Highly recommend there plates. A bit heavy, but not when you put your vest on, it doesn’t feel that bad.
